Our experience
In 1988, right out of the blue, Simon Bailey was given ten seconds to decide if he wanted to be a trainer. He said “yes” and has never looked back.
He learned the tools of his trade with Alliance & Leicester Building Society, before leading the sales training teams of ITT London & Edinburgh Insurance and Norwich Union. After a groundbreaking spell with Virgin, he then held the posts of Training and Competency Manager and Master Training Consultant with Royal Bank of Scotland Group.
From there, Simon took his experience of big company disciplines to the SME market, working as a consultant for Manchester-based Winning Pitch.
Simon’s career achievements were acknowledged when he was awarded the title of Sales Trainer of the Year at the 2006 United Kingdom Natonal Sales Awards.
He set up his own business, Timewheel Training, in 2009 where he continues to work with a range of blue chip companies, smaller businesses and individuals.
Simon is married with two grown-up boys and lives in West Yorkshire. He is passionate about writing, Indian food and Norwich City football club.
